The song they played at the end of The Red Skelton Show is Holiday for Strings composed by Red Skelton. David Rose got the credit however. The dining room in the restaurant I used to work at had a collection of clown paintings painted by Red Skelton.

@kevin-eleven saidDon't forget Danny Kaye, he and Red Skeleton had very successful TV shows in the early 60's that were funny and wholesome.
Thank you for posting that. Red Skelton had the right idea. I remember his show and especially his hobo sketches from when I was a kid.
