Actually, I want the Aussies to win.
They should, as they are a great team rather than a collection of great players.
But people are already saying that Australia are in decline, since England beat them and the only other possibilty is that England are a good team. Ha ha. Can't be that - Aussies are in decline.
Go to the BBC cricket discussion boards if you don't believe me.
Well the World XI selectors really shot themselves in the foot with the six day Test match:
1 Graeme Smith (capt)
2 Virender Sehwag
3 Rahul Dravid
4 Inzamam-ul-Haq
5 Brian Lara
6 Jacques Kallis
7 Andrew Flintoff
8 Mark Boucher
9 Daniel Vettori
10 Steve Harmison
11 Muttiah Muralitharan
Now, even if this is a pitch which demands two spinners, isn't the bowling a little light? Flintoff and Harmison are fine for opening the attack, but Kallis as a first change bowler? OK, he's a great player, but he seems to have given up bowling in recent years, essentially a part timer.
And it was a crime to leave Pollock out. Probably for the sake of Dravid, Inzamam or Lara. I reckon they dropped Pollock for Inzy for political reasons (i.e. no other Pakistanis in the team). Also, Boucher is pretty good, but surely Sangakkara should have been in, then they wouldn't have needed another batsman?
Currently 331/6 at stumps on day 1, with Gilchrist 94no. Could still be a poor score if they get a few early wickets tomorrow.
