Fascinating statistic, since the flu kills over 35 thousand people a year in the US.
Got a source for that claim?
If normal flu kills so many, why all the panic about swine flu then? How many so far this year? 30?

Helps if I post the entire message 🙂

Unfortunately I contracted swine flu from a source unknown. I can honestly say that this flu was the worst experience I've had as regards illness..it started with what I thought were cold symptoms, runny nose, headache, bit of sore throat etc etc but it quickly gathered momentum and by day two I knew I had flu. The headache was relentless, feeling like my head was about to explode at any time...my neck was so so very sore and my glands around my throat. The aching just seemed magnified from other flu's, nothing seemd to help with the aches and pains, no amount of painkillers. Shivering, shaking with an immense fever up around 102F. I hated the thought of having to drink, my throat and ears felt like they had razor blades in them..I had to drink but I could not...no energy, not even enough to reach out for the drink. After three days another strange experience, I thought I'd been stung by a wasp or something, it was the start of the rash. After 'the sting' a sort of red bruising appeared around the raised bit of skin. The aching flu itself seemed to subside after 5or 6 days but the fever, coughing and bad chest stuck and swollen glands stuck with me..I had antibiotics for sinusitus and a chest infection on week2. I STILL have swollen glands after over 3weeks. My doctor tells me some people have recovered within the week but the cough and chest seem to stay for some time longer with 'occasional fever symptoms.' Although mine has dragged on, and on, I think myself fortunate...I'm healthy and relatively young, many are dying of this flu. I didn't have 'tamiflu' though I would've had I had known the severity. I assumed I'd get through it as I had no idea that I'd actually got swine flu initially...only a swab can detect that. The more people take tamiflu for the mere notion of swine flu the more this flu will cause immense issues in future.. with the resistance it draws every day with every infection, with every does of tamiflu.
Not the best way I can think of spending the back end of my summer but at least I'm on the mend now. Dean.
Media band wagon blah blah.
The swine flu is a serious illness that can make you very ill. It is especially dangerous to vulnerable people such as children, elderly people and those with immuno deficiencies.
All this applies to all other flus toos!!!
How many people have died from swine flu this year?
How many people have died from other flus?
