I am tempted to try and transfer from my current university, the first year I have nearly completed, but it was hardly as fulfilling as I had hoped. I'd like to transfer to another university much closer to home for my remaining 2 years.

I have absolutely no idea how do this though. πŸ˜•
Anyone know?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks captain obvious.

Anyone have any idea about what happens short of 'ask someone else'?

i agree with adam warlock.
There are probably enough proffesors/personal coaches/people on your university who know exactly how it works.
I think you have a bigger chance of getting decent answers asking around there, then in the General Forum of a chess site.

I think it will go something like this:
- You sign out of your old university
- You sign in for the new university

edit: 3 years study? are you only getting your Bachelor in those years?

Fair enough.

And yes, 3 years for a bachelor of arts, I won't pretend to understand the intricacies of the American system, but 3 years is the going rate in the UK.
How is it different over there?

I have no idea how different it is in America, since im not from there. And i am deeply offended that you thought i did.

In Holland its also usualy 3 years for Bachelor i guess.

Now that you mention it, I was talking my mum about this earlier, she mentioned that the uni I'm at now would probably try and put you off from moving unis, as this would take away money from them, and so they'd probably make it as difficult as possible.

edit: maybe that line of thought is a bit exaggerated though.

Try posting the question on a forum that's completely non-University related and full of sarcastic, egotistical idiots that will give you pointless, stupid answers!

In the US a Bachelor's generally takes four years at least.
