While I despise hate speech, a generation of pampered snowflakes is
not a good thing. The struggles which were built on freedom are now
striving for exactly the opposite. I do not claim to have the answer, but
this is not a good thing.
Now, on the comedic side of things, how is a comic supposed to break
boundaries if, well, boundaries can be crossed? Laughter is, by all means,

The inability of these contemporary 18 - 21 year olds to think for themselves was quite a revelation to me. Furthermore there were no political bodies, or none that I was aware of. Where were the all pseudo-Marxists of bygone generations, the young people who care about real stuff.
I was politely and privately told by a friend recently "we don't use gay as an adjective in the advanced world", after I'd called something "gay". Fair enough, I'm a clumsy middle-aged oaf who still thinks Dick Emery and Kenny Everitt were funny and gay people aren't weedy types who are bit rubbish at stuff, so no, it was not a good "adjective" but was it funny? I guess you had to be there. Or perhaps you don't.
I'm a appreciator of your humour, always have been. I enjoy pushing it myself and I think and the membership in this forum enjoy pushing it too. The thing is, this place is not a club where the audience have chosen to be slightly offended and paid good money to commit that they do.
We all pitch up wearing the wrong shirt occasionally.

itself, we all have a limited amount of gunpowder. That's what is called
in Spanish slang saving fuel for big fires. Nowadays I see a bunch
of people spending time and effort in countless crusades which, regardless
of how commendable and noble in principle level, either (a) lead to
slippery slopes, and/or (b) divert attention from real issues.
So, for example, I rather see people fighting discrimination in the streets
of Soweto or the neighborhoods of Ferguson, than in the freakin' internet.
Or, instead of splitting the world between man vs. women, black vs.
white, left vs. right, focus on the fact that the origin of it all is the haves
vs. the have-nots. It all boils down to that. Those who have plenty, and
who happen to be a very few, I picture in my mind pleasantly laughing
when they see people fighting between themselves rather than looking
at them, up there, sipping their champagne.
And, just like the pen, laughing at non-PC stuff is key here. The angrier
people get, the easier it is to see the structures of power and to direct
hatred towards them. The more incorrect speech is, the more rebellious
people turn... and order is the weapon of the haves against the have-nots.
Take my words with a grain of salt., though. I lean towards anarchism.
