o.k.-i'm confused...fisrtly, i'm a baptist, born and bred, but i say baptism's not essential 😛
and then i get to question 12, about going to heaven. now then, jesus said "all those he beleive in me shall not perish but have eternal life". probubly the most famous verse in the bible! and yet, we're given the option of everyone goes to heaven (option 2), or only those who follow god fully, which is, of course, impossible, will go (option 1)...ah well-*clicks option one*
*decides to do a compromise and clicks option two as well*

Jerry Falwell Christian
(a.k.a. "Historicist" or "Literalist"😉
You view the Bible as historically accurate and divinely inspired. (i do indeed)You go to church every Sunday, (yup)with the Good Book in a Bible cover(erm-i use a pew one 😛), and Wednesday night for Bible study(nope...). You've read at least one of the books in the apocalyptic "Left Behind" series(never heard of it...), prefer your iced tea very sweet(actually-i prefer coffee), and suspect Bill Clinton has murdered somebody somewhere in Arkansas(never really thought about it-but he's probubly screwed someone there 😕). You watch "Touched by an Angel," even though you think it's not Christian enough*lives in scotland*. You may watch Mother Angelica's Eternal Word Television Network, and you adore Dr. Laura, Chuck Colson, James Dobson, and Rush Limbaugh(natuarlly...). If you're Catholic, you go to Latin Mass and weekly confession, though you don't have much to confess. You think homosexuals are sinful but try periodically to love them(that i do!). You think the surrounding culture is so polluted that you shop at Christian bookstores, listen only to Christian radio (i wouldn't quite call iron maiden or AC/DC christian...number of the beast? highway to hell? 😛)and send your kids to Christian or parochial schools--or homeschool them(nope). You give generously to your church and Christian charities(well-my paretns do...). The Bible provides you not only a direct connection to God but a roadmap for how to lead your life(it does indeed!).
well-it got most of the bit about my beleifs right, but not about how i lead my life 😛

BTW, I attend a Baptist church myself. It's amusing that we Baptists make so small a fuss over baptism!
Originally posted by huntingbeari think it's a lot to do with most other churches (i think anyway 😕) baptising at birth-baptist do it whnever you feel ready, so it's much more personal, so a greater stress is laid on it-but not everybody's been baptised (i've not-i've been "committed" or something though-the church says they're look after me or somthing...😛)
