am I alone in this
If you call bread and cream cheese light, what is heavy?

a heavy breakfast for me would be one that included meat along with several other items

example of a heavy breakfast: bacon, eggs and potatoes
in England they eat a very heavy breakfast

Potatoes??? For breakfast??? Not in England. Hash browns, an American thing, are the closest Brits get to potatoes.

A big breakfast in the UK is called a full breakfast; sausage, bacon, eggs, beans, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms and fried bread.

Eggs + avocado on sweet potato bread or unrefined porridge. Washed down with rooibos tea (if I'm fresh) or earl grey (if I'm tired).

Yes, thank you - the English team is much better and I'm happy for them as they are expected to do miracle. They are very good and their goalkeeper is brilliant.
I'm glad that it was a relatively clean game. Sweden was gracious in defeat.

Thank you,it's nice to know. After the second goal, I was too nervous to follow the rest of the game. I'm very glad England is still in the competition.

Bread and cream cheese as light though? What kind of bread are we talking about here?

Nothing wrong with a big breakfast though, better than eating a lot at night...

Scrambled or poached eggs with some kind of wholegrain bread with seeds, porridge or fruit salad with usually strong black coffee or sometimes green tea for me.

With the odd Irish fry 😉

Nobody's mentioned everyone's favourite.

Last night's take-away straight from the fridge.

I've never understood the British penchant for beans for breakfast.
