@ghost-of-a-duke saidWhy would your joining his Clan annoy me?
I might join your clan.
Just to annoy Rusty.
I could see where it might annoy Suzie Q, you wouldn't be playing me anyways! 🙂 😛
You might even make it to 20 games played, which would be nice to see! 🙂
Good place to go if you want some easy lop sided matches in your favor!

@torunn saidIf he is interested in territory won and lost you should consult the Versailles Treaty, signed in Paris in 1919. It's online. Also, Ponderable had the link to a timeline map (showing global boundaries in any given year) that might interest your grandson.
Thank you. I will go through some of it myself first and then try to answer his questions with the help of the link. Thanks very much.
Edit: I prefer to talk about WWII as I know more about it but we have already covered that to some extent.
@handyandy saidThank you very much. I will be better prepared at his next visit. Right now, I know, he is fascinated by the phenomenon of war - how ruthless people can take the liberty of doing such things to others and not accepting consequences.

Ya know what?...OK I'll tell ya. I LOVE the way this thread has the ability to bring people together and how the intercourse is so diverse. I mean talk goes from what one likes in the way of beverages, to how WW1 was sooooo complex, to starting up new clans, to some banter leading to, were it a real pub, fisticuffs. Please everyone, continue. Now who wants what?
@handyandy saidActually most changes in territory wher caused by the distribution of Austrian, Russian and Turkish territories.

@ponderable saidI think my knowledge of WW1 is based on past games of Diplomacy. Now that's a game that tests relationships.

I agree kind of like I remember the old Tavern's people discussing lots of different topics, some disagreements. The fisticuffs not quite the same but I see where you were going with that. Pretty much like a real 'Tavern'!!!
