As it's never passed over my tongue and down my gullet I will take your word for it. Here you go. Enjoy and please let me know what you think as, as you know I take your suggestions with great pleasure since your many reading recommendations.
And now I read an old Alistair MacLean book where the first part takes place on a ship in such detailed description that if I had not liked the story so much, I would have left it in the beginning.

We speak any language we are comfortable in my friend. Here is your cider. I hope you like it. How is the family?

Some books are hard to "get into". I think I have mentioned, in the past, my 3 attempts at "getting into" The Life of Pi. I have given up on any further attempts. Hey, I did, "give it the old college try" eh? 😉

The story 'plot' is not difficult. More difficult to understand is the ship where every detailed is mentioned, necessary though.

We do have the availability, should a language we are not familiar with come up here, to copy and paste it into a "free translation" thingy, right? I am fluent in English and French and can "get by" in Spanish and Italian.

I was approached on facebook by a man who claimed to be Swedish, using very Swedish names. I noticed he was not a Swede by the way he wrote, and I blocked him because of his lies.

When patrons enter the Tavern they are scanned by a "lie detector" and should they manage to circumvent it (there are people out there who take that kind of security as a challenge) they immediately spontaneously combust. See, look at that pile of ashes over there by the door.

There is a danger of course. This man might not be, he was too obvious in his style, but there are people who let things go too far and then unpleasant things might happen.

Your fantasy is becoming a bit disturbed in my opinion.
