You may not need so much food and therefore think it is expensive but if you prefer a proper English breakfast, it's worth the money 10 GBP, ale included.

Well, yah. that is worth the price, IMO. Sounds good, too.
In US, full breakfast would be something like - eggs, bacon/sausage/ham, "hash browns" (potatoes), pancakes, toast, and maybe some fruit. That's what I'm used to, and it works for me.

Our Breakfast would be similiar to yours if one is eating out. Perhaps tea or coffee with that and a fruit drink.

@torunn saidYes many of our Hotels and Inns are the same, they include the price with the room I believe. One of the things I miss with this covid thing going on right now. Although we can't complain here in Canada. We have had it pretty good compared with a lot of other areas in the world.
When you stay in hotels, breakfast is almost the best part of the day. You have a buffet with all kinds of things to start the day.
