@torunn saidSomehow, when I get together with you and Stees, time flies!
We have plenty of time... so I thank you in advance. 🙂
But I will abide. We may be here for a time to come. 🙂

@great-big-stees saidMust be one of those fancy places that give you very little and charge a lot of money for it! 😉

@great-big-stees saidIt's not expensive for English breakfast and ale, and it is for one surely.

@torunn saidHmmm in "real" money (Cdn dollars) that's currently about $17.00, still a bit pricey...for my blood/budget. 😲 🤔 😉

@great-big-stees saidWe are spoiled with getting things much cheaper here Stees! 😉

@great-big-stees saidYou can choose a cheaper breakfast but an English breakfast contains a lot, and when you travel you need it.

@torunn saidGive us an example of what you get in an English breakfast.

The "traditional" full English breakfast, treated as a dish rather than a meal, includes bacon (traditionally back bacon), fried, poached or scrambled eggs, fried or grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread or buttered toast, and sausages (also known as "bangers" . Black pudding, baked beans, and bubble and squeak are also often included..."
(Wikipedia)
You may not need so much food and therefore think it is expensive but if you prefer a proper English breakfast, it's worth the money 10 GBP, ale included.
@Torunn
Well, yah. that is worth the price, IMO. Sounds good, too.
In US, full breakfast would be something like - eggs, bacon/sausage/ham, "hash browns" (potatoes), pancakes, toast, and maybe some fruit. That's what I'm used to, and it works for me.
@earl-of-trumps saidAgreed it is a lot for the price but I think enough for two people. Of course we would never have ale for breakfast.

Our Breakfast would be similiar to yours if one is eating out. Perhaps tea or coffee with that and a fruit drink.

@very-rusty saidWhen you stay in hotels, breakfast is almost the best part of the day. You have a buffet with all kinds of things to start the day.

@torunn saidYes many of our Hotels and Inns are the same, they include the price with the room I believe. One of the things I miss with this covid thing going on right now. Although we can't complain here in Canada. We have had it pretty good compared with a lot of other areas in the world.
