i'm a big believer in the simple pleasures, but they pass many people by, i think. imho, it's a matter of 'stopping to smell the roses', being 'in the moment' enough to enjoy, and being open to the pleasures available not only to each of the five senses, but also a range of psychological pleasures - emotional, intellectual etc. in particular i like those simple pleasures that i haven't 'set up', such as the sound of rain on the roof, a cool breeze springing up on a hot day, or an attractive woman walking by.
