money = freedom
Well, $20 million U.S. will buy a lot of comfort, security, leisure, and the means to enjoy it. If that isn't freedom, I don't know what is. Speaking of quantum reality (or whatever) I'm still wishing for my money. Of course, it would be even better to cut out the middle-man -- get rid of the pseudo-sentients altogether and control my universe directly by wishing -- but I'll certainly take the $20 million in the meantime. After buying a nice house (luxurious, but not too large since I intend to clean it myself to keep the idjits out) on a beautiful spot of land surrounded by miles of land owned by me outright (again, to keep the idjits away) I ought to have enough left to live very comfortably off the income from some nice, safe investment like U.S. government bonds, without having to touch the invested capital. A seed of $40 million would work even better, of course.

worthy of belief. What matters and often governs our affair ...[text shortened]... f strength.

One would be interested to know what GB's definition of luck is, if it is not what he has stated it is not.

Please don't make fun of skeeter. Best kept secret in the world was the way the US faked the moon landings. Everybody knows Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stayed at a Holiday Inn.

Well, that's something one doesn't hear on a daily basis.

Care to elaborate?

The lunar landing proves the Bible myrh: In 1969, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory was computing every element of time back to thye big bang ( I know, but it looked more impressive in print--just suspend belief for a few minutes). NASA helped and foung that there were 9 hours and 20 minutes "ubaccounted for". Someone at Mission Control who had been in Sunday School in the last 30 years pointed out that this proved both the Jericho story (where God stopped the sun) and a prophetic sign to a king where God made the sundial move in the wrong direction. Not only did I hear this in church, but in school as well, from my 6th grade teacher, if memory serves.

The 9 hours and 20 minutes story is nonsense and NASA denies that any such discovery ever took place and explains that a comparison of the type described is impossible. To do so, scientists would have to compare modern astronomical records with those of Joshua's day - which were rarely kept and, even when they were, lacked the degree of precision necessary for a reliable comparison.

It's definitely a myth.....

no, you dont understand, freedom truly means being able to get high on heroin and driving your car 150 mph through a pre-school zone killing 8 kids with no negative repercussions...total freedom, man!!!
