Title case is just for headlines. The real news is buried in the ninth graf.

Some (mostly) American Christians seem to sprinkle (or even smother) their writing about religious matters with words starting with capital letters presumably in order to puff themselves up and attempt to make their words look extra holy.

Here's a converter, even.

Oh, and some style books don't capitalize articles, conjunctions, and prepositions less than six letters long unless they are at the beginning of a sentence.

I will not. I will take it as a sign I should fill the void created by you withdrawing what you said.

In Indonesia, people have a habit of capitalizing common nouns that they want to lend importance to even when the words are not the names or official titles of things. This many of them then do when they write in English and they sometimes take exception.to seeing their capital letters rendered lower case, even though the use of those capital letters was essentially incorrect even in the writing when it was in their own language.

Never turn down an opportunity to sneer at a Christian, eh?

Even if you have to make one up.

I have not made anything up. Capitalizing words to give text a kind of portentousness is a bit peculiar. Apologies if this viewpoint makes you paranoid yet again. 😉

William Blake did it. It isn't always peculiar.
