@contenchess saidClearly, I don't give a crap about AW training.
They all swing. They all use momentum to help.
I've seen cross fit and all of the pull up movements they use momentum.
AW is about keeping your arm locked.
Those cross fit exercises are hard but they are not beneficial to an arm wrestler.
Static holds are best for AW.
Curl your arm to your chin without touching your chin. Now keep that position with a lot of weight trying to open your arm.
That is AW training.
It's all about static holds.
The regimen is about upper body strength.
Swinging won't help with that.

@contenchess saidLooks like a bicep builder.
@Suzianne
Did you watch the video I posted?
That video above ⬆️ is proper AW training.
I'm not saying your exercises are easier or not good.
I'm saying AW training is about staying locked in tight...elbows in...static holds.
Sport specific training.
That's not what I am looking for.

@suzianne saidWhy train if not for something?

Gym rats are a dime a dozen.
Cross fit guys and Gym rats get destroyed at an AW tournament.
So me doing every fashionable exercise is not going to happen.
I do what I need to do to be good at AW.

@contenchess saidYou got that right.
@Very-Rusty
Good arm wrestlers are too tight and stiff for boxing or MMA.
Some arm wrestlers can't even straighten their arm all the way.
Injuries happen all of the time.
You really have to love the sport or it isn't worth it really 🤔
My fitness goals are different.
I'm not trying to hobble myself here.

@contenchess saidYeah, can't be bothered.

How many people into arm wrestling get their ass handed to them if they get in a fight?
I'm guessing all of them.
@contenchess saidLet me look.
Show me a video of someone doing it.
No raising the legs. No momentum.
Here's a poser who is swinging. I bet he thinks he's good.
Here, watch Sean Brian. No swinging, no fully extended arms.
@contenchess saidWatch the second video I posted. I'm telling you, if you are swinging, you're doing it wrong.
@Suzianne
With the salmon ladder the speed causes the swinging/momentum/kipping.
Those guys are beasts no doubt but that movement has nothing to do with AW.
It's about the abs and the pull up. Delts and traps, baby.

@suzianne saidOnly against people who have trained in fighting.
Yeah, can't be bothered.

Trained fighters don't get into fights.
2 bums do. I'll bet on the bigger stronger guy.
