Any of this ringing a bell?
In '88 I was skate-boarding and Sports were NOT COOL.

Actually, I did follow baseball until 94 when I swore off it until about 1999 or 2000 when my wife got me a McDonalds cup depicting Pedro Martinez as some sort of robot pitcher... and got back into baseball first, NFL next... NBA lightly last year... and Hockey this year.

Been listening to sports radio ALL DAY for a good 7 years or so now, when I got away from political radio talk.

The Oilers swept in 4. The original game 4 was postponed due to an Arena blackout.

you guys are talking about your local league when the WORLD championships are decided, and your national team is playing in a few short minutes. (it's gonna end badly for belarus though, I predict 7-2 for canada.)

the final pecking order this year will be:

1. finland
2. sweden
3. russia

4. canada.

oh, the game started already, I'll get a beer and start watching.

1-0 for canada in 1min 5 seconds.

Having a look at your line-up now, Worm. I think your prediction is a bit of wishful thinking.

karri rämö & pekka rinne.

only a few NHL players this year, which I see as a good thing. they've always been more disruption than of use, as they never have the time to train properly with the team. -as good as selänne was, it always took 5 games at least before he tuned in with the rest of the team.

LOL...RN is my dad? Ok Phlabby whatever you say!

I don't tell RN what to do, or even ask him. I think you are becoming paranoid.

I will answer your P.M. when I have the time to do it justice. I have my therapy this afternoon, but will try and get that answered before the days end, if not by tomorrow for sure!

Rinne had a great year in the NHL. Very surprising. So did Miko Koivu. I can totally see that with Selanne. But what about Olli Jokinen? Will he be missed?

Don't listen to him, Rusty. He's an alcoholic. He's just got the shakes because he hasn't had his "morning piss", if you know what I mean.

well, I know it might look that way, but the fact is we have a great coach for the first time after winning in 95, and I've always quite liked his decisions. -he's made quite big and controversial picks for the team, but I seriously doubt he's made big errors.

we'll see though. (and c'mon, of course I'm gonna put fin #1 and canada #4. 🙂 )

Yup, and Messier was still with them, and that was their cup, without the great one!
