can anything that resulted in innocent men, woman and children to be slaughtered ever be considered a victory?

Granny, you have every reason to have been bitter. I like the way you made your argument gradually and always welcome cheerful

opposition to my point of view. Let's agree that the ungrateful and shabby manner in which you were treated is inexcusable. Let's

realize that it wasn't intentional. Root cause was clearly nothing more or less than administrative paralysis and beauracratic bungling.

Consider the possibility that my main point/Veterans Day theme is still valid. We owe total gratitude to all patriots who have served.
