Don't bother, unless you like watching movies with the equivalent sound of a lawn mower running in your front room.

Edit: And dedicated players are a good price these days.

Starcraft is a really under-rated game, I used to play at a friends house with 4 computers linked on a LAN network. Those were not very productive days I can tell you. Personally, the original Goldeneye on the N64 is an eternal classic. I like a good football game too, pro-evolution on the PS2 is awesome, the fifa games are not. For a bit of console multiplayer, you can't beat Mariokart. Sheer mayhem and fun!

I still play Command & Conquer : Generals (Zero Hour) against Chris quite a bit. (Carrying on a tradition from when we shared a house at university, and would play endless hours of the original C&C over our house LAN.) If anyone else plays this, I'm sure the pair of us would take anyone on in a team game. And that goes for Far Cry too – anyone want some team deathmatch one evening?? π

My favourite types of game are RPG, particularly the Bioware/Interplay ones. That is, the Baldur's Gate series, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights (which is probably the best game in the whole world ever). Also liked Final Fantasy X on the PS2.
Other than that, I loved all of the Grand Theft Auto games, and none of them ever made me want to go out and rob/murder etc, so I don't know where all the controversy came from.
