Well well well, what do you know: http://gameknot.com/team.pl?chess=1227
Interesting that our Great Crusader and the fat, whinger, cheat-buster are now in a clan over there with a known cheat...
Birds of a feather.

Indeed. It's one of the dark parts of not-so-far-ago Norwegian history that Norwegians don't seem to talk much about. I have mostly read about it in connection with the Norwegian gypsies - lobotomy was just one of the measures taken to make them more compliant and docile (or to get rid of them altogether).
So here is my question. Does someone who had a lobotomy know/remember they had one? Would you for instance, know one was perfomed on you ?

Here's a case of someone who was lobotomized as a child, and he doesn't remember the operation: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5014080
I guess it would depend both on the age at which the person was lobotomized and the damage caused by the operation. But of course not remembering the operation doesn't mean people wouldn't know they were lobotomized. In Norway, at least the 483 persons who asked for restitution within 1997 obviously knew about it.
Luckily I am too young to have been lobotomized in Germany (where lobotomy was never that common anyway)...
