... My God ... I am not alone 😀
My favorite lyrics ... can not help that I have to think about Ivanhoe when listening:
Frank Zappa - Catholic girls (album: Joe's garage)
A festive CYO Party with crepe paper streamers, contestants for the broom dance, the "Hokey Pokey," baked goods, & FATHER RILEY making sure the lights don't go down too low... ...[text shortened]... ock backstage at The Armory
In order to get a pass
To see some big rock group for free...
i love that song too and i know every word to that as well.
i played against a guy called centralscrutinizer on this site. i asked him if his name was from joe's garage and he freaked out. told me i was his new friend 🙂
Originally posted by darvlayI have seen his name somewhere to and figured he must be a Zappa fan ... I could also post: Why does it hurt when I pee ... but I like Catholic girls better. 😉

Changed playlist to Rammstein ... heavy rolling rock ... German, and my favorite song from the album Herzeleid from 1996:
Ramstein
Ramstein
Ein Mensch brennt
Ramstein
Fleischgeruch liegt in der Luft
Ramstein
ein Kind stirbt
Ramstein
die Sonne scheint
Ramstein
ein Flammenmeer
Ramstein
Blut gerinnt auf dem Asphalt
Ramstein
Mütter schreien
Ramstein
die Sonne scheint
Ramstein
ein Massengrab
Ramstein
kein Entrinnen
Ramstein
kein Vogel singt mehr
Ramstein
die Sonne scheint
Ramstein
Nice detail about this song. The American military used this song when they raided Afghan villages ... the Afghans were terrified when the speakers were blurring out Rammstein real real loud.
Originally posted by MarcusrI saw Zappa & Co. live in Providence R.I., years ago. What an incredible show. He played guitar with awe-inspiring virtuosity that evening! Not much talk, just flame-on guitar work!
Ah, Joe's Garage. Not heard that joyous album for an age. Got it on tape somewhere, but no longer the means with which to play it. Negligent, frankly...
Originally posted by PhlabibitI don't know what happened to Brad Roberts, on the verge of being pretty successful they just kind of changed styles and dropped of the face of the Earth. Their first two albums were pretty good...
I saw an interesting thing on them a long time ago (VH1?). I guess the lead singer was fooling around with that deep voice, and they stuck with it once they got a hit....
Something like that.
