On to track 4 right now. It seems very solid, and for the price of this album (I think you can actually choose to pay nothing?) it's more than worth it. It seems more accessible than say Kid A/Amnesiac, but it's still got some of the typical radiohead weirdness. I'll have to finish the album before I can make a completely objective decision, but right now I like it a lot.

BTW, I have heard reports that they've sold 1.2 million so far. I feel like this way of selling albums (digitally with price choice) may actually catch on. I was very skeptical of it from a marketing standpoint at first.

I just finished my first full listen through. The album is excellent, if you're serious about wanting a review I'll give it after I've absorbed it a little more.

i don't.

i've heard reports the average prise people paid (yes you could choose nothing) was £4 just under $8.

if thats how much a radiohead album goes for can you imagine how much people would pay for lesser bands?

Hm, I heard the average was 5 pounds (about $10.17) for the dl shtuff. I also heard that in pre-sales the $80 boxed set out-sold the regular download. Which, if that's true, is amazing. Anyhow, 1.2 million at that average price (include boxed set sales) is damn good.

But I see your point, I can't see Britney Spears albums hitting that average price...

i've heard about half of the album so far and was about to download it.

but the sh'tty site has froze 😠

the box set is where i imagine they thought they'd make their money back. $80 is a bit steep.

i guarantee someone buys if for me for x'mass 😀

edit: send it to me through msn.

edit 2: got through to the checkout. but its sooooooooo f'ing slow. tempted to put 0.

edit 3: f. it they'll get £40 because of me, i'm taking my free download 😏

Claim to fame....

Any of you that had to send email to "downloadInRainbows@waste.uk.com" in the last 48 hours for a new download link?....that's my client....I set up that mailbox 😏
Waste are the merchandising arm set up by Radiohead, and I've been doing their IT for around 7 years....their MD's kids and mine went to the same school at that time, my wife and her (yes, the MD is a female and was originally a school chum of Thom's) were chatting in the playground, she'd been messed around by some "IT consultancy" and was up against it, and the wife said ....well, I expect you can guess the rest.

And before you ask, no, I don't follow their music, and no, I can't get you a free anything. 😛

But Radiohead help pay my mortgage, so there !! 😲
