I can't help but thinking that the demise of music is coming when I see all of these youtube posts. Are all of you youtube junkies into the music or the videos?
Dont think it's the demise of music, but definatelly a change of meaning. Songs with videos get a one dimensional interpretation stucked in your head. Thats awful. Most songs I hear dont have videos, and if you notice, both videos I posted dont give you a interpretation of the song. First is a live (very rare) performance, and the second a short movie done for a one minute movie festival (that or nothing, cause this song has no music video).
I dont watch MTV or search music videos on youtube. I do use youtube to find rare stuffs (like the first video I posted).
Although I think most music videos sucks, I do think some can do a really good work when they know how to coordinate visuality and sound. But that's exception, and I think the second video I posted is one of these cases.
Originally posted by darvlayWhat do you make of Broadrick's vocals on Jesu? I can't listen to most of their s.t. because of his off-key moaning. He's much better doing his Godflesh-style vocals (which he occasionally breaks out for Jesu). it's a pity because musically Jesu rocks.
