@the-gravedigger saidI'm too white for her to take me in.
Suzi will let you have a room for free. She works with homeless folk. And Nevada is a lot warmer than Vancouver.
She's also in Arizona, Pheonix I believe.
Good riddance.
@the-gravedigger saidIt is indeed, GD. But Suzie is in Arizona lol

@earl-of-trumps saidLOL well I knew it was a lot further south than Canada.

@the-gravedigger saidHey those desserts...I mean deserts... can be really cold at night.🤔

@very-rusty saidBecause you’re warm-hearted, kind and generous.
LOL@ Gooster, what makes you think I would give him a room? If he can afford internet he can afford a B&B!
@great-big-stees saidWhat Province is in the middle of Canada
Hey VR. You sure you’re Canadian. Winnipeg is the city in the middle of Canada not Toronto.😡
Turns out we are both wrong. 🙂
What town is in the centre of Canada?
The Centre of Canada Park sits at 96 degrees, 48 minutes and 35 seconds west — also known as Highway 1 East near Provincial Trunk Road 206 East — in the rural municipality of Taché, Man. The spot has been dubbed the east-west Centre of the country. Aug 17, 2017.

Because you’re warm-hearted, kind and generous.
He can afford a phone and internet but not a B&B??? That doesn't sound strange to you?
-VR
@dork saidIf you know the right people you can find a place to stay for that cheap. 🙂
There isn't even a B&B for 50 bucks a night.

@Very-Rusty
I'm sure you are a kind soul but my intention was to backpack, not stay at someone's house.
Backpacking is a way of life for some people and it can be enjoyable if you are prepared.
It's like living off grid but still within a city so it's not as rough. I've done it off and on my whole life.
"Functional Homeless" 😄
After some internet research it would seem that it is too risky to go to Halifax in the winter.
As far as having a phone and internet but not having enough for a motel or a B&B is easily explainable.
I can get a new phone and a whole month of internet for the cost of one night in a B&B.
Also, wifi is free almost everywhere in a city. Fast food joints, coffee shops etc etc have free wifi.
I also already own a phone so it's not about me being able to afford it because I already have it.
I have nowhere near the funds to stay in a motel or a B&B for more than a week so obviously those are not options. Tent city is my only option and it was the intention.
I'm still leaving on Wednesday but I'll have to wait for warm weather if I want to backpack out east.
@dork saidSmart move, winters are very cold here. We are now trying find places for some of the homeless we have. You could certainly die outside in our weather. It is great in the summer though, just some rain to concern yourself about.

It can also get very hot which I don't think you are concerned about.
