Are you sure? I am trying to improve my Engerlish and I don't want you to send me down the wrong path. Is just doesn't seem to fit "Are" sounds better to me.
Is you posting this, according to you, an example of "gaslighting"? Still looks like it should be an "Are"

@torunn saidYes: "you posting this" and "your posting this" are both noun phrases that work in a sentence like this. Indeed this is also a noun phrase: [verb: is...] "the fact that you took it upon yourself to just go ahead and post this without being specific about what it actually was"... and so on.

@fmf saidLOL@ fmf....Does this upset you?

@very-rusty saidOf course not. If you don't find it interesting, why did you ask me about it?

How about this, keep the "is" and remove the first "you".
"Is posting this, according to you.."

@kilroy70 saidThat'd be perfectly fine. But one doesn't have to remove it. I am, in one of my walks of life, literally paid by the word, so loquaciousness is ingrained into me.
Is it is or is it are?

@fmf saidI was taught that most of the time if singular choose the word with an "S" in it. Also removing words clarifies it.
Compare what I wrote to this:
"Are you posting this, according to you, as an example of "gaslighting"?"
This is correct.
"Is you posting this, according to you, an example of "gaslighting"?"
This is also correct but the sentence construction is not the same.
"Is you posting this, according to you, as an example of "gaslighting"?"
Simplify to root words esp those pertaining to the word in question so:
Are an example, which doesn't sound right.
Is an example, sounds correct.
But your mid sentence addition, "according to you" would be better at the beginning of the sentence IMO. Also the word "as" in your sentence is redundantly cluttering. The whole sentence is clumsy.
"Is you posting this, according to you, as an example of "gaslighting"?"
According to you, posting this βis an example of gaslighting?
Better but not great.
To be honest, I thought the word "as" made it awkward.
@fmf saidDid you "Alert" or send "Feedback"? π
Is you posting this, according to you, an example of "gaslighting"?
Are you posting this, according to you, as an example of "gaslighting"?
