Wow. I came back to check on this thread and found it off topic on the first page. As usual its the same knuckleheads doing the same he said she said routine. I thought this thread was going to be interesting in that we could take a little time to forecast where we thought the site was heading or where is should head. I for one would like to see a change in the current abortion that is the forums. There are many great posters and fantastic posts that get lost in the shat room usage that is the general forum.

Personally, I thought the site was more fun somehow a year ago... dunno what exactly, most likely the general forum (and others too). I used to write lots, but a lot of my friends have disappeared... and I often write a response and then think "... nah..." and just close the window again. Oh well, wouldn't know what to change about that though 🙁
I still like the site in total though.

As for me, I have been checking out the forums for a while (though I don't post very often). Sometimes, I enjoy the forums. Sometimes, I do not.
The forums, particularly the general forum, has always been filled with disputes between individuals. There seems to always be some ax to grind.
Often, these disputes spill over from thread to thread and do not appear to make any sense. It seems as though they are only half the story appears in any single thread.
Even when 'the whole story' appears in a single thread, it seems clear that the argument is over something petty.
I often feel like an outsider when I view many of the forum discussions (which is ok, since I am an outsider). I understand that this is true in many, if not all, forums, so it is not a big deal.
It is my belief that not much will change at this site. Similar behaviour will continue while some new people come along to replace some of the older people who leave.
There used to be some people who's posts I liked and I wish they were still here. Conversely, there are some people that I do not miss.
Anyway, my predictions are hardly groundbreaking but probably true.
