By the way, how do crazy people fare in IQ tests?
More seriously, I don't really know anything about this, but found this study that looks interesting: http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1034/j.1601-5215.2002.140302.x?cookieSet=1&journalCode=acn

I thought it would be quite interesting to pool as many of you guys' IQ as possible just to prove that collectively we chess players are probably the most intelligent board game players around! I'll get the ball rolling with my own which according to the official MENSA test is an impressive 156.

Great stuff! I wonder if MENSA ever considered the following?
"In addition, IQ tests like the Wechsler were not intended to reliably discriminate much beyond IQ 130, as they simply do not contain enough exceptionally difficult items. (2)"
(The Wechsler test is the standard IQ test model, btw.)

Standard intelligence tests, such as the Stanford-Binet, are often inappropriate for children with autism; the alternative of using developmental or adaptive skills measures are relatively poor measures of intelligence in autistic children, and have resulted in incorrect claims that a majority of children with autism are mentally retarded.[80]

I am surprised not more people have tried boasting about how great they are, or how they think the IQ tests they have got over 200 on were not written well enough to measure their genius.
Especially surprising, considering people in these very forums often like to go out of their way to make out they are 'so smart' and how their greatness should be taken more seriously by the little people.
