I've been going to a pub near me recently that has 260 beers on their menu. They have a beer society that people can join where you fill out a card for each different beer you try. Once you've tried 125 you win some trinkets, or something. So far I've had:
Young's Chocolate Stout (England)
Celebrator Dopplebock (Germany)
Carnegie Porter (Sweden)
Beamish Irish Stout (Ireland)
Founder's Dirty Bastard (Michigan), which boasts the following on their label: Auch! Yeh've nary had such a bonnie taste of heav'n since pullin' yer mouth off yer mammy's teet. With more highland bitties and flavours than yer grandmammy's haggis, Dirty Bastard Ale ain't fer the wee lads. And if it's too strong fer yer silk-wearin', poodle-walkin' arse, then it's back to the loch with you, nessy!
Originally posted by rwingetti used to go to a pub that had something along those lines: they issued you with a 'passport', and you got a 'visa' stamp for a country when you tried a beer from that country. when you got 30 visa stamps you got a tee-shirt with the name of the pub. It was the Redback Brewery i think. for those not up on their Australian invertibrates, the Redback (female) is the second-most dangerous spider here. Redback is a wheat beer and it's better with lemon, like Corona i guess...(not that i'm much of a Corona drinker, I just wanted the visa...)
