You know who doesn't get any credit, the guy who plays Michael Myers in Halloween. I and II are great movies, 2 favorites of mine. I can't even tell you his name! 😞

EDIT - I looked it up, its Tony Moran. Good job Tony 😉

I actually thought about her, but I have the same problem as darv with her...

I left out robert de niro before, his versatility is just awesome. and unlike al pacino for example, you always forget it's de niro and see only the character he plays. he can pull of anything from a low-esteem wimp to a hard as a rock psychopath, and there's not a lot of actors who can do that. pacino is also great, but he's always pacino.

oh, philip seymour hoffman. he usually plays the weird creep, but he can also pull off almost anything.

and clint eastwood. he has only three expressions and one character, but nobody can do that role better.

True. I can't name much else that EB did. Still, for that performance (RFAD) alone, I might put her on my list.

Also, Forest Whitaker. He's been in a lot of good stuff. I was particularly impressed with his role in "The Last King of Scotland".

I can't believe Brad Pitt hasn't been nominated. I realise people are trying to pick the more obscure names, but Se7en, Snatch, Fight Club, The Mexican, Twelve Monkeys. All top, top - show stealing performances.

I've always liked him as well. he's always gotten a lot of crap for being pretty, but as he gets older I'm sure he'll gain a lot more appreciation for his acting. just like robert redford did.

i think brad pitts class but he has also been in quite a few bad films, either way my choice was based on the role i enjoyed the most from anything, ever, so cleavon little would be no 1

I kept my list to the few great movies, where he was superb. It could have gone on including the likes of Kalifornia, Legends of the Fall, Sleepers, etc.
