Folks, thanks for all your replies! Looks like my bill might be about average, that's all i needed to know really. The service has been ok, my router is a bit temperamental, drops connection for no apparent reason from time to time but generally that just means a re-boot. Blitz is a bit of a pain in the ass as a result but i don't really do a lot of that...

No problems whatsoever since then - 11 months now. Definitely glad I stuck with them.
I am with BT. They are a good provider but I will be moving at the end of the year (when the 12 months is up)
I have sky tv too, I have seen they are doing a package at the minute for £48 per month for TV, broadband and telephone. I think this is a great package seeings as Sky TV alone for the full package is £42.50. Im not too sure its available to me being an existing customer but if I jump up and down on the spot for 10 minutes, have a rant and rave down the phone they usually give in!!
