@relentless-red saidI saw an article somewhere which divided the world into washers and wipers. A Bangkok private home I stayed in had both toilet roll and water hose. Thais are a very clean lot!
When I worked in a Manchester clothes factory a lot of the workers were only over from Pakistan for work, so really different cultural values to the local community. There were permanent footprints on the seat and a jug of water instead of toilet role. I was talking to a Manchester Pakistani friend about it and he commented that I should hear what they thought of weste ...[text shortened]... let and then smearing their excrement on to paper. Funny how the world looks through different eyes.
@kewpie saidThat’s the best way imo, water hose then you just need the paper to dry, miss those from Asia. Toilet paper was so expensive in India, maybe that’s why they don’t use it, I say expensive, relative to the cost of everything else. Sometimes I didn’t have any paper so you just do your best, give your hands a good wash and let it dry in the heat, it’s not so bad. Right hand for eating, left for cleaning yourself, try and shake an Indian with your left hand 😂
