Oh no man, report him to the swat team in Murfreesboro, TN. They do have swat teams down there don't they? We should call the FBI and tell them there's a guy named Baha who is the manager at the Kroger store and we suspect he's a terrorist.

You want to support your government don't you?

They're still around?! Closed up in my neck of the woods 20 years ago. In fact the big store here, Tops, closed last month leaving my wife devastated becasue she doesn't like Giant Eagle. Apples opened this week, so she's pretty excited about visiting them today. Me, I don't find grocery stores very exciting I did like Piggly Wiggly, but they aren't around here.

When i worked in Detroit everything was available in a store called Meijer. I have a card still valid. Would they supply me in the UK with their goods if they still exist?

As you know, the problem of credit card theft is worldwide. So it wouldn't surprize me if you have a credit card from Detroit and want to use it in the UK and they balk on you. But you'd have to contact them to know for sure.

Actually I have $3000 credit on it and I want it back! Somebody just hit my memory bank about supermarkets in the usa and I remembered. I might be a scouser, but give me credit when credit's due!

The Kroger store I shopped at exclusively while growing up in a suburb of Dallas has been closed for several years. In the Dallas area, I noticed that over the past 20 years, that the ones located in neighborhoods in transition (i.e., this is code for dangerous, bad areas near apartments) have all closed. The good news is that all the new stores are so-called "flag-ship" stores in affluent areas. They're a real joy to shop in. There's a modest Kroger store in an affluent part of North Dallas that hardly anyone shops at since there's a Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and super-Target nearby. I really enjoy shopping there since you can go in after work and not have to wait in long lines or deal with people bumping into your cart. I got to be friends with the butcher and he always pointed out the best deals for me. Overall, I really enjoy shopping at Kroger.
