Why do high IQ people so often amount to nothing?

I played Mike a few times last month. We chatted during the games and I found him to be a decent and likeable person.

You have to anger some people to get them to be honest or open up more on accident to try and reason with them. This is in hopes of showing them that so much of life is driven by the creation of self and not logic.
