As a Mac user and prospective IT employee, I like Windows 7. In my career I'll inevitably have to use Microsoft software and I think Windows 7 is the best OS they've produced. It's user-friendly and stable, and looks pretty good, too. The best thing about Windows is that it's the dominant OS so always has by far the most software available. windows 7 / 64 bit.
The OS is very good. I have it a year
and have no complaints. I was asked recently
by PC World ( the shop where I bought the laptop )
if I wanted an upgrade to Windows 8 and I declined
for two reasons.
1. I am unemployed at the moment and don't have the money.
2. What I have right now is great and I really don't see
the need for an upgrade. I am not technically minded and
will probably never work in IT but if the only difference
between 7 and 8 is touchscreen technology then I
would not be bothered to change.
Yeah, I run Windows 7 64-bit also.
No problems at all.
I plan on staying with 7, just like I stayed with XP when Vista came out.
I plan on upgrading my graphics card to something newer than the stone age graphics I have now (onboard ATI Radeon 3100), something recent, which means I'll have to upgrade my power supply as well (what I have now can only support what is in the computer now), probably to a 750w or so. But I will prolly still stay with Windows 7.
