@drewnogal saidWool makes me itch something fierce.
Nordic hats & sweaters. All of the Scandinavians wear them as they leisurely lay on the snow, chatting around a campfire.

@russ saidSounds good, and maybe shared with another naked person if the nordic sweaters are too itchy?
All I can say is - a four season sleeping bag, even in the worst possible tent, was great on a mattress of fresh snow. Hardly top-of-a-mountain stuff though.
edit. : a four season sleeping bag - which is almost too big to be practical.

Keep warm, dress warm, dress in layers. Stay dry, outer layer waterproof. Keep a drinking bottle next to your body, under your outer layers. Wrap a canteen of warm water in layers in your pack. Check for freezing canteens, warm up water if needed. Keep your gear dry. Build up a layer of forest debris for under your tent, for insulation.
Use your head
Good luck
If you see Bigfoot, grab your worst camera, take Shakey video or blurry pictures.
@gambrel saidBad camera for BigFoot check ✅

The rest was good advice.
I wouldn't have thought of forest debris under the tent to stay warmer and more comfortable.

@c-i-v saidWhile sleeping you can loose a lot of body heat on cold ground, insulate, maybe put a tarp down over the debris to keep dry. coalcracker on YouTube has good videos

@c-i-v saidIf you’re winter camping in the far north an igloo is surprisingly warm. If you happen to be in Quebec City in February you can try getting a room at the Ice Hotel to get an idea if you really want to “camp” in the winter, though it’s more like winter “Glamping”.🤔
Advice please. 🤔
@the-gravedigger saidOr better yet, leave it on the dresser at home.
Also ensure film is black and white

@earl-of-trumps saidI always do that.
Don't wear your clothes when you go to get into your sleeping bag. Big mistake.
Why not?
