😀
I find that hard to believe.

Is "talking arse" on an internet forum a prerequisit to getting your welfare cheque or something?

Unsure, Tim. That's why I posed the question. Who knows... maybe peer approval need, fear of upsetting the applecart, fixations, etc.

there are reasons to be sure fer tha scope of tha interest...
"narrow", being a subjective term, iz yer own perspective, and i disagree...
to "suppose", a shot in tha dark, an assumption, a guess, iz also beyond tha solid ground upon which i wish to stand...

why???
because itz what they WANT...
no other reason iz necessary...

when yer hungry, do you really give a crap why yer hungry???
nope, you are hungry and you want something to eat...
fairly simple...

az i have read and am just now beginning to understand some eastern philosophies, it iz not necessary nor desirable, heck, not even POSSIBLE to fathom tha different innermost feelings and desires of mankind...

here's a word...

acceptance...

many things that are mysteries to me i just accept tha way they are because it iz not necessary for me to understand...

carry on however you see fit...

Enjoy these topic posts when they're done with a measure of intelligence and style. Often they = lowest common denominator of both.

Because there are no specific forums for the aforementioned catagories?
Private forums probably absorb the lion's share.

I wonder if you need to be so open minded that you're an effluent pipe.

#1. 'Suppose' acknowledges that we were merely speculating. #2. 'Narrow' seems accurate considering the big oyster world

wide range of fascinating and wonderful topics available, #3. 'Why' = curiosity about the deep seated causes that profoundly

influence human behavior. #4. 'Acceptance' = one way to write the progressive chapters of the book of your life and times

but certainly not the only rational choice. #5. 'Carry on' = a lovely temporal street named Suum Cuique (to each his own)...

"Reluctance"

"Ah, when to the heart of man

Was it ever less than a treason

To go with the drift of things,

To yield with a grace to reason,

And bow and accept the end

Of a love or a season?"

(Robert Frost, concluding stanza)

I see.

Would you agree that Andy Kauffman was in his time "strange" for mainstream comedy, yet still he was amusing for a very specific niche?

Some even considered him (and still do) a genius.

No need to over personalize things... just a matter of respecting RHP cost control objectives by observing economy of ink and space.

Glad you asked. Guy should have his affairs in order. Really never gave an epitaph any thought. Thanks for my next thread topic, trev.

Yup, along with many other wild a** geniuses whose spectactular intensity and individualism cut along a nerve in a unique way.
