Sorry for the reality check Xanthos and I just hate to lose closet minded fans. Not. Thats my position and most of the S&T frat here at CU.
You just prove that the US of A put a manned vessel on the surface of the moon and I will withdraw. And, my collegues and I have a very clear platform for what constitutes " reasonable proof".
Good luck

There is one piece of damming footage that reveals that the first landing was a hoax.
It shows the footprints of the astronauts in the moon dust as they moved around the spacecraft. They simply forgot that the thrusters employed to slow the craft as it landed would have cleared all that loose surface material for approx. 6000m. in a low gravity environment. No such environment existed in that hangar and they couldn't blow it away because the thrusters could not be fired and no one knew what the actual moon surface would look like because they were not there. They were in a hangar at Area 51, nevada desert, planet Earth.
Not one NASA scientist has been able to explain this little oversight.

well...
Go to an observatory. Stare up at the moon through the strongest telescope you can find and pinpoint the landing gear, the flag, the footsteps are any other sign of a moon landing you can.
You can't.
It's not that I seriously doubt the moon landing, but there is a nagging irritation at the back of my head that something's rotten in th ...[text shortened]... ps. The sniggering ended there and then.
Never heard anything more about it either though...
Interesting point though and I always approach anything in the media with a healthy dose of skepticism.
