When I was moderating I'd suggested to Russ a way to grant alerts to longtime trusted scums. I still think it would be a good idea.
b) maybe give some incentive for those interested in said privileges to behave accordingly.
Of course there should be some criteria and the "honourary" membership should be not as tall as the subscriber one and should be retractable by Russ on short notice.

no need to start a cat fight.
I am at this moment trying to work out how much it is in euro.
But just because I have not paid yet does not reduce the amount of courtesy
and respect I deserve. I only arrived on October 31.

New arrivals usually take a while before they decide to pay, if they ever do. I think I lasted about 6 weeks before the ads, and the game number limit, started to annoy me. Some people play here for years and just tolerate the ads. You'll notice references to "non-sub scum" in these forums, particularly the General Forum where most of the fooling around goes on, but it doesn't mean anything, in fact I think it was a nonsub who invented it, it's merely an in-joke.
And by the way, I'm an old lady, with two cranky cats. I'm up to my ears in cat fights already ...

In the meantime if anyone shows me courtesy I will repay double.
I will welcome your wisdom and experience, and if you want to play me in the game I love I will welcome the challenge. I hope I prove a worthy opponent.
Obviously johnny longwoody is not my real name, but I am from Dublin Ireland.
Good to know you.

Hope to hear from the administrators next week. I'm always available for a game.
I'm Irish though, don't know an awful lot about Yorkshire other than Leeds, Bradford, Freddie Truman, Sean Bean, Michael Parkinson and Jeremy Clarkson. Is Yorkshire the White Rose or the Red Rose? I can never remember that one.
Cheers.π
