First off, I cant figure out a way to make CM9000 think for an even hour... 999 seconds is the biggest setting, thats about 16 mins or so.
Anyone know how to do this, let me know.

The 'x time per move' option doesn't work either.It moves within 1 second('cause it is still in its opening book),and then he has 2 hours for the next move.And so on.....
When it is out of its book,I will just set in on infinite analyses and then force a move after a hour.It will make the best move it can come up with by then.

Why not just let them use their opening books, surely they have opening books for a reason. The programmers would assume that they use the books, and so they can be a bit wierd if they don't.
My computer would pick a move right away from book... I would tell it to think harder and it would sometimes pick a second book move, perhaps a more agressive line.
I think my computer left the book first, not sure if it had a book option and thought a better move up or what. I am at work so can't check that out.

I guess that I don't understand why anyone would want to use a computer chess board on any site? To each his own I guess.
I know that I would be pretty mad if I found out that I was playing an electronic chess board, win or lose. Maybe I am nieve, but how many people use these for help or full games? I like to think that I am playing a person always. I would never play a computer chess game online if I knew it, I feel that it's cheating.

If there is a way to cheat, someone has done it... and if you play enough games online, you have played these cheaters. If I think someone is cheating I don't say anything... I finish the game as best I can and don't play that person anymore.
This is a couple games where us mortals want to see how our computers do... since we never get to use them against another computer or human.
If we were using computers to make our moves, our ratings would be through the roof.... and we would ask silly questions like "What is castling?" or "Where did my pawn go?" or "Why can't I move my King?"
Did you even check out the computer games? The one with Fritz is crazy... the one with CM9000 is all messed up because Timmy T keeps forgeting to use the computer and makes the moves on his own. They are unrated games, and worth checking out.
