-Removed-If I lose my car keys and find them do I have to keep looking for them? If you refer to God, He is eternal in every way possible; the more we know, the more we realize that there is more to Him, making Him the one thing that fulfills us in seeking and finding. Someone who craves money can never have enough no matter how much they get, the same with power. Godliness with contentment is great gain.
-Removed-I somewhat agree. The Apostle Paul would be a good example of this. Paul had great zeal for God; and, he actually thought at one time that he was doing right by prosecuting, and murdering Christians. Thanks be to God for humbling Paul and setting him straight; and, for Paul continuing to seek after God and truthfully following Him and His direction. Same with Moses etc.
Seeking a relationship with God is an ongoing process; this process does not stop just because someone met Jesus (God). A relationship is an ongoing process, it is not much of a relationship after just one meeting or get together; it grows over time.
However, our salvation in promised from the start; IF, we remain In Him; which means, to keep seeking a truthful relationship with Him.
My thoughts anyway.

As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 "I am the vine, you [are] the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw [them] into the fire, and they are burned. 7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."
