I don't want to scare anyone, but this thread reminds me a bit of "The Nine Billion Names of God".

When it reaches 99999 the next move will revert the displayed number back to 1.
And planes will fall out of the sky. Y2K scaremongerer.

ZorroTheFox Joined Red Hot Pawn on "27 Oct '05". From then until today 22 Sep '14 there have been a total of 3,253 days, during which he has made an incredible 999,505 chess moves for a sustained overall average of 307.3 moves per day.

"The total number of days between Thursday, October 27th, 2005 and Monday, September 22nd, 2014 is 3,252 days. This is equal to 8 years, 10 months, and 26 days. This does not include the end date, so it's accurate if you're measuring your age in days, or the total days between the start and end date. But if you want the duration of an event that includes both the starting date and the ending date, then it would actually be 3,253 days." http://www.convertunits.com/dates/from/Oct+27,+2005/to/Sep+22,+2014

Note: ZorroTheFox, you've pioneered a new path in going where no site member has ever gone before. We appreciate you!

Doesn't it hold 6 digits already? Possibly it is programmed to hold 7?

Zorro will then be in a big way tie for last place with the other 183 players that have made a total of 1 move on the site.

Or the other 183 players that have made 1000001 moves. Don't forget to note down which is the 1000000th move Zorro. Don't go excitedly speeding past. You may even have time for an announcement of when you will make it. I could let off a firework.

Just left 290 moves.....

Today or tomorrow the system will crash because there are not 7 digits for the 1.000.000 move.

At this time, I am slowly moving along. I expect to reach the millionth move tomorrow, September 23, 2014. I plan to cherish the move. Since I am not retired, I plan to continue playing as long as RedHotPawn allows me to go beyond the millionth move! Marko Krale has been a gentleman along the way. He and I have played many times and he is a better chess player than me! I thank all of those I have battled along the way but making the Royal Game enjoyable!

Excellent idea!

Instead of my laptop, I plan to use my desktop to display the millionth move.
