Game 2931418
another opening which violates just about every single chess principle.
Originally posted by Von BardelebenAnother nonsense, possible only against weak players. For example instead 4.Bc4 which allows 4...b5, white can play 4.Nc3. also white didnt need to sacrifice on f7 - they would have large advantage.

Originally posted by anthiasOffbeat openings are exciting, such as the Orangutang (1.b4), Bird's (1.f4), and the Fried Fox, or Hammerschlag (1.f3, 2.Kf2). However, I prefer to play solid positional openngs, such as the Queen's Gambit, the Reti, and the Catalan. As black I play the French and the Slav, but enjoy the excitement of the Kalashnikov Sicilian and the Benko/Volga Gambit.
Hi there, I am doing a term project on chess openings, and wanted to have your opinion about it. What is the most exiting opening for you? Why?
In this way, I may put in a sentence like "In RHP.com, a CC site, most users prefer the x opening, for it suits their .... playing style." I also want to put some example games of such openings, if I can.
For me, the most exciting opening is the King's Gambit. Never played it though...
I have an over 80% score with the Fried Fox--two correspondence games and lots of blitz.
