I know this feeling of disappointed when you solve one of these things.

Not so much with studies and combinations but solving composed
problems like mates in two.

(a whole different ball game from playing chess).

You can really enjoy doing one of these, finding and defusing all the
winning attempts. And solving one can give you the same disappoint
you feel when you come to end of good book.

You might be thinking.

"A mate in two, surely that is easy?"

So just to show this is not the case here is one.

It's up to you if you want to try and solve it, but do look for the
mate in two moves for a minute or so just to prove that some
of these are amazingly difficult.

(though this one is not too hard Black does a large variety of
moves that all allow a different mate next move. You have
to find all the defenses and the key white move).

I don't think solving these composed problems all the time helps
one's chess other than the fact your are looking at a chessboard.
But I and 1,000's like me enjoy solving them.

White to play and must give checkmate on his 2nd move against any defence.
