Yeah, I love crushing patzers like you with the King's Gambit. Just kidding. No, on a serious note, might try the Falkbeer's Counter Gambit. Good to face the King's Gambit with that dark weapon.
See the post above yours for a 6 move win with the Falkbeer Counter Gambit!

Mmmm Nicely done! 🙂 Actually, I've seen that line before, but the 6 moves is only because he resigned. I thought you meant mate in 6. But, still a rook and a knight down is devastating. Good thing he was man enough to resign. I hate when people ruin the artistic beauty of a game by dragging a completely lost position through the mud once more. The small gems are pretty.

Brave man,so let me warn you. Any Gambit is tricky as you are giving material up and I have reason to believe the FCG is trickier than most so take care, if you have access to a database use it, otherwise ensure you study the opening carefully.

That was the first and only time I have ever played it - a Birds transposed to KG then FCG and I got lucky.

The main line is:
1. e4 .. e5;
2. f4 .. d5;
3A. Nf3 .. dXe; 3B.eXd .. c6;
4A. NXP .. Bd6; 4B. Nc3 .. eXf;
5A. Bc4 .. BXN; 5B. Nf3 .. Nf6;
6A. fXB .. Nf6; 6B. d4 .. Bd6;
7A. e6 .. BXP; 7B. Qe2+ .. Qe7;
8A. BXB .. fXB; 8B. QXQ .. KXQ;
[other moves are possible for both sides]

Good luck. Let us all know how it goes.

There's always the Be7 line.

I have another game to show you guys. Game 2326097 No obvious blunders to give me the win this time.

White didn't play well in general. There must be blunders in there, but I didn't check to thoroughly. And I think white looks better in the g3 line than in the Ke2 line.

Yes, white looks much better in the g3 lines that I've looked at. I'll probably play something else in future KG games. We'll see. This is a playable line, though, and it could be quite fun for lower rated players.

May I suggest an interesting line called the "Berlin Defense" or the "Nordic Defense".

1.e4 e5
2.f4 exf4
3.Nf3 h6

When I played the KNG I never saw this move - probably because it looks a little strange. But it has a purpose, basically it's the same purpose as the Fischer Defense, and is as Fischer would probably put it, "somewhat of a high class waiting move." I'm sure many KNG player's don't have much of an idea on how to face it.
