When I used to play at Gameknot, I entered a tournament called the "Drunken King" Mini-Tournament. Basically white's king starts on the second row pretty exposed. Has anyone else heard of this? I don't think it would be a great opening but I don't know.

Never heard of it, but I'm sure you meant to say, it's a terrible opening...

Might as well put your gonads on an anvil and let someone go to town with a sledgehammer. bahahaha Good luck, pal.

Oh it was bad. I one two games as white and lost 6 or something like that. The guy who started the tournament made it look like your king was stumbling drunk out in the middle of the board.

couldn't you just move your king back to its original square? you could always castle. not sure where your king/rook would end up though

I don't know. That's why I was hoping someone on here has heard of it. It's in a book about unorthodox openings.

amazing!
About a year ago i downloaded "Cotopia Chess" program to my cellphone. It's GPRS blitz chess site . Usualy there are 0-4 players online . There was a player. His nickname was "Nescafe". In my first game against him after my e4 he answered c6. I was sure it's Caro-Kann, but after d5, i saw f6. Then he moved his King to f7,g6 and f7. I was sure he is a beginer, but he won that game! I played about 6-7 games against him and he won ALL of them! He ALWAYS started with c3, f3, Kf2 as white (c6,f6, Kf7 as black). But you know what, it's really hard for me to believe That Fischer plays chess in GPRS sites.

Thats pretty cool. I don't get why they are spending so much time speculating abstractly if that is Fishcer or not. All they would have to do is load up a chess program, go online, and see if they could duplicate the results.
