Sweet. And you beat me fair and square in the other game, APB. Congratulations πŸ™‚

Here's a short disaster where I just couldn't get into focus on the opening. My biggie in here is Bf8:

10, 11 and 12 all seem worse to me.

Ah yes, 10 was bad 11 was appalling and 12 was 10's fault. I hope this never happens again.

As far as I can tell, you could have gotten a draw from that one. The mistake is not in move 23, but in move 25. That should have been Qg4.

Am I mistaken?

PS. And getting a draw against that good a player is sort of like a win.

Well,I'm pretty sure that this can't be beaten and gets the title of the more stupid move here.................I'll remember it for the rest of my permanence on Rhp.

Game 590392

I already posted this at the time and to prevent the question, yes,I knew how to mate with the lone rook............I was just on a boozy and smoky night!

I wish I could edit that post now. πŸ™

Of course 26... Rg8 is followed by 27. Qxg8 😞

So, yeah, it looks like a draw.

Qg4 was my original intention for move 25, but I'd mange to forget that Kh6 would not let me get the perpetual check. Interesting to note that my move in itself wasn't that bad after all.

Still, the fact I made it past move 20 against a player of his calibre is victory of sorts.

Cheers for pointing this out πŸ™‚.

And to edit:

What would happen if his 26th move was Qd8?

I wouldn't have had perpetual check, yet couldn't take the f pawn either.

Underestimating my opponent by sacrificing a Horsey for a Prawn to make the game more of a challenge.

Yeah, u were toast.

Qd8 or e5 would have been good for him.

I'll have to remember not to do analysis first thing in the morning after a heap of beer the night before. Double 😞

Yep. I see it now. And I'll have to remember not to do the analysis in the evening, when I'm really tired (That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it πŸ˜€)
