Hi Oleg, welcome to RHP, and to the Australia clan!
Yes, it's annoying when this happens. I personally tend to resign in hopeless situations. if it's merely difficult though, I try to keep moving. I have to confess though: when i start a session, i play the easier games first, just to 'get my eye in'. that generally means openings and games where i'm d ...[text shortened]... ffering a draw, so it really slowed things down. eventually i won, and it was all the sweeter...
However, these are usually games which are on the knife edge, so to speak where it could go either way and much thought is required to avoid blundering. Lost games are totally different, they don't need much thought (unless a stalemate or draw is obtainable with careful play - doesn't happen to me very often).
An extreme example...
Game 363508
Yes I know that greed got the better of me in move 42 and caused me to completely miss Rh4++, but seriously... I think I can handle myself from here. π
We're suddenly moving at 1-2 moves per week right now, so I guess this game will qualify as a marquee example for the topic of this thread.
For christs sake olidee! Just resign and I'll give you a rematch. Sheesh.
Ah well. I'll post the result come may when I have promoted a pawn.

It would appear Kurt that you are a paragon of good maners vs. a sadly mistaken.... well, whatever.
