it now appears it wasn't them, as I remember it had a knight hopping around the corner in a futile attempt to mate, and bowmann doesn't have such a game. but they do have 157 moves long one, with a quite silly ending as well. Game 1120321

I remember that game. It was Regicidal, not Bowmann. If I remember correctly the text exchange was pretty ridiculous as well.
