no offense, but I honestly think that these threads should be renamed "LOL @ stupid amateur blunders"
I can tell you one thing, however. Once I am as skilled as you, I certainly won't be carrying that same elitest attitude.

Nice mate but don't sac your Queen for nothing.
Anyway, CMSMaster pointed out that black certainly didn't get "nothing"... to the contary, he got Lots.
Personally, I'm slightly disapointed that Black played Kg8, because the Ke8 mate is a lot prettier, IMHO
-- it took me a while to find:-
28. Ke8 Nf8+ Kd8 Rd1+ Bd7 Rxd7+ Kc8 Ne7#
Originally posted by SickboyBlacks 3rd move was the mistake, after Nc3, the traditional response is Qa5, or the slightly less popular Qd8 and Qd6.
Game 2450270
How about this one in 19? A good example as to development and not bringing your queen out too early?
Qa5 is actaully an opening, with a little theory behind it (B01, Scandinavain.)
White did handle the opening well, it was Black that made the blunders...as 10.Ng4?? clearly shows
11. Qa4?! Bd7.
Qa4 IMO, doesn't do much to improve whites position, therefore, If it were me, I'd of played c5 instead (wining bishop for 2 pawns) because the longer you leave it, there remains a chance black will find a way to defend.
12. Qc6.
This is a highly tactical position, And I think Ne5 was a small blunder.
...c5 Bf4 (otherwise, Nxc7+ which wins Pawn+Rook) Ne5 looks good but i'm not sure if it wins.
14. Nxf2
Black is already lost by this point, but I think 14.a5 is the better move, simply becuase it makes the win harder for white to find.
16. Bxc7!
is an excellent move which just destroy's blacks position, which is followed by Na6 which has to be one of the worst possible defenses black has.
Game 2223319
Here's one of mine, and I'll lightly annotate it+ explain why is here when it lasted 34 moves.
By move 8, White has better development, black thus far has only managed to develop his Queen, and even thats not particually promising...
8. d5? --- a simple blunder.
12. Bg4
...White a very strong position, with a number of ways to proceed.
Rxe7+ Kxe7 Qxg4 is, for example a strong alternative, however, I prefered the Queen sac, Qxg4! --- I had analysed this move rather deeply, and was 100% confident that It worked.
17. Qc7.
this was the only way to stop mate, seeing as Ka7 loses to Bf3+ Kb6 Rb7# (the Queen is on the only excape square)
20. Rd7...
this was actually a small mistake, Rxh7+ was far better, because it mated much quicker.
20. Rxh7+ Ka7 [Rc7 Rxc7 only delays the inevitable] 21.Bxc8+ Kb6 Nd5+ 22. Kc6 Bb7# [Ka5 Bc7#]
moves 21-34...sloppy crap...just ignore it all.
I won this game in four moves.Game 2251365
In fact, I've never won a game that went up to 30 moves on this site.

You commented that you would have pushed the c5 pawn rather than Qa5. My thoughts on Qa5 were all about going after mate. As you said (and Silman), I should be paying a lot more attention just racking up advantages rather than immediately trying to push through a dubious mate chance...
