OTB from a few years ago. I got a lot of cooperation from my opponent as you can see. I spent around 20 minutes checking and re-checking before making the rook sacrifice on move 17. The way my opponent had been playing I doubted that he would see 17...c6. If he takes the rook as in the game it is not really a sacrifice as it wins by force.
When I showed this game to Tim Mcgrew (chesscafe writer who tought me the BDG) he saw Rxf5 as soon as I had moved h5!
I have a classic BDG 'swindle' that I like too. I will have to dig it up.
Game 2277262
I thought this one had an interesting finish, with the queen rushing in to give checkmate with only a lowly pawn as her support.

Game 2932050
Despite my poor tactical play, this game is weird in the sense that White's e pawn never moves! A rare occurence, I would certainly say.
I think I found a way that you could have won the game quicker...
29 Qh8+ Kb7
30 Bd5+ and bye-bye black queen!
edit: I just noticed 29 ... Kd7, but Qh8+ still looks better to me.
I'll go away now.
Originally posted by dmnelson84I don't know. I noticed the possibility on move 19, but at the time I was thinking that if I played the bishop sac immediately he could decline it with 19...Bxc4.

Perhaps I missed something, but I was thinking that the key to this working was that I needed him to keep the Bishop on f7, where it was bottling up both his queen and rook. That's why I went for 19.Bb5, and then he doesn't have anything to attack with the Bishop, and (I thought) no way to profitably decline the sac.
I'm kinda relearning how to play chess. So every once in a while i make very bumb mistakes. But i liked this two games a lot.

I just like the finish on this one. I was thinkin on it quite a while and he didn't see it coming. But i think that's because it was wll hidden and quite original.

This one i liked but i don't know quite why. It was a rematch from a previous game.
