Thats line has saved my game many times
9 ... bxc6 10. e5 or 9 ... dxc6 10 e5. Either way the knight at f6 is pinned and lost... and so is the game for black...
I'm surprised none of your many opponents saw it.

My apologies. got my move numbers muddled. Its 9 Nxc6!
EDIT: In response to the above post, I was questioning playing both an early e6 AND a Kingside fianchetto.
