Did you know that there are more books written on chess than perhaps any subject other than the Bible? There's thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of books on chess and they are very useful for improving your understanding of the Royal game. Also, if you have a hard time with linear media like books, I don't understand how you can have the patience to enjoy correspondence chess since it requires that you sit through a beginning, a middle, and an endgame. Good luck, you'll need it.
...I don't especially like books.

forget everything you just heard, study International master Alexander Bangiev square strategy theory, its especially effective for middle gameπ
ivanhoe and Bedlam were keeping an open mind, and the others either were negative or couldn't make sense of it. Bedlam did say that CD #3 was much better than #1 and #2. It would be interesting if one of those two guys could give us an updated opinion on the BS method. (pun intended π )
Also, I did a little Googling, and the only positive testimonials I could find were from the people selling the CDs. Does anyone know of any respected chess instructors who like the system?
Edit - Maybe I should have bumped the old thread instead of potentially hijacking this one. If anyone else wants to do the bumping honors, you have my blessing. π
